ISO 14644-1 Class 5 requires a cleanroom to have a maximum number of particles per square metre as follows

Medical Moulded Products check at 0.5 micron and 5 micron at weekly intervals using a calibrated particle counter and record the results for graphical analysis. In addition to our internal monitoring, our cleanrooms are externally validated every 12 months.
